GEOS Ingénieurs Conseils is a consulting firm specialising in geotechnical engineering, with 40 employees in Lyon (69) and Rueil Malmaison (92), and is a subsidiary of the international engineering group INGEROP (2,700 employees).

GEOS is active throughout France and internationally, at all stages of project development, providing consultancy, expertise and geotechnical project management services in the building, linear infrastructure (motorways, high-speed lines, etc.), engineering structures and tunnels sectors. GEOS also develops geotechnical calculation software.

To support its development, GEOS is looking for junior geotechnical engineers or engineers with initial experience in studies and design of geotechnical structures for its offices in Rueil Malmaison (92) and Lyon (69).

With an engineering degree, specialising in geotechnical engineering, you are rigorous, have good writing skills and enjoy working in a team.

As part of G1 to G5 geotechnical assignments, you will be responsible for:

• geological analyses, geotechnical summaries,
• sizing of geotechnical structures in soil-structure interaction,
• report writing,
• assisting project managers with commercial and technical bids,
• occasional travel to sites, mainly in France.

To support its development, GEOS is looking for experienced geotechnical engineers/project managers with 5 to 10 years’ experience in the study and design of geotechnical structures.

As a specialist in geotechnical engineering and/or underground structures, you will be rigorous and independent, have good writing skills and enjoy working as part of a team.

Reporting to the Director, your tasks will include :

• Supervision of geotechnical studies, but also active participation in studies with geological and geotechnical analyses and summaries, dimensioning of geotechnical structures and drafting of reports. You will also be responsible for project management for design and works, geotechnical execution studies and geotechnical monitoring of execution,
• Supervising and managing less experienced engineers on your projects,
• Technical and commercial development.

As a specialist in geotechnical engineering and/or underground structures, you will be rigorous and independent, have good writing skills and enjoy working as part of a team.

Reporting to the Director, your responsibilities will include:

• Supervision of geotechnical studies and management of complex geotechnical projects, as well as active participation in studies involving geological and geotechnical analyses and summaries, sizing of geotechnical structures and drafting of reports. You will also be involved in project management for design and works, geotechnical execution studies and geotechnical monitoring of execution,
• Supervising and managing the engineers on your projects,
• technical and commercial development.

As part of the development of its business and the growth that our design office is currently experiencing, GEOS is looking to take on third-year engineering students (bac + 5) as part of a 6-month end-of-studies placement that could lead to recruitment. This offer is also open to engineering students taking a gap year.

Reporting directly to an experienced Project Manager, in Rueil-Malmaison (92), each trainee will be responsible for carrying out all the duties of a junior design engineer. They will be able to take part in geological analyses, the sizing of structures, report writing and project management during the design and construction phases. Cross-disciplinary tasks, including, for example, bibliographical work and experimental calculations, will complete this professional training course.
